Statistics   Name: Omelet Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler - Rottweiler Mix Age: 3 Months (DOB: 6/17/2019) Size: Medium  (Once fully grown)    lbs.     ~Medium range: 26-60  lbs Adoption Donation: $200 (applicable sales tax included) PLUS a $100 deposit is required and is to be refunded once proof of spay/neuter is provided to this rescue. Our adoption contract requires all dogs to be spayed/neutered within ONE Month of adoption or when age-appropriate. Adoption fees may be paid by cash or check.  Other: Intact Male, Vaccinations current, Microchip *  Omelet has recently recovered from Parvovirus. Although there are no long-term issues for Omelet, he is still shedding the virus. This means that his new home must have dogs that are 2+ years old with a solid vaccination history or no other dogs at this time, and he cannot be exposed to other puppies for 6 months. Caution should be taken with exposing Omelet to adult healthy dogs too, but the risk of a vaccinated adult healthy dog contracting Parvo is very minimal. Omelet will not be able to visit dog parks, pet stores, training facilities, or any other public areas that dogs frequent, for three months as he may leave the virus behind, and puppies or unvaccinated adult dogs would be at risk.         Omelet is "egg-cited" to be in your life!     Puppies generally need the following veterinary care after their adoption:   8 Weeks:  Distemper/Parvo & Bordetella Vaccinations.â€ۚ Luv of Dog Rescue completes these vaccinations before adoption.  12 Weeks:  Distemper/Parvo Vaccination, completed at the veterinarian of adopter's choice.  16 Weeks:  Distemper/Parvo Vaccination, Rabies Vaccination, completed at the veterinarian of adopter's choice.  6 Months:  Spay/Neuter surgery.    Yearly thereafter:  All dogs need yearly wellness exams performed by a veterinarian as well as booster vaccinations.  ~Spay/Neuter surgeries cost between $150-$250 for a neuter and $300-$400 for a spay in the FM Area.  Wellness visits can run from $50 to $100 for each visit.  If you are thinking of adopting a puppy, it's a good idea to research these costs before adopting by calling the veterinarian of your choice. â€‹      Foster Home Feedback 9/16/19: Omelet came into the rescue with his siblings who all had Parvo, but he has rebounded quickly! He is just a typical, happy, playful puppy now. He is good with dogs, cats, men, women, kids. Omelet loves everybody! He currently lives with 2 resident dogs, his brother Cheerio, and 2 cats, without any issues. We are still working on potty training. He goes to the bathroom as soon as he gets outside, but if you don't keep an eye on him, he will potty inside. Omelet does give the usual warnings like walking around by the door and sniffing the ground. When he is in the kennel, there are very few accidents, and he is quiet in there, overall. Once he is done playing, he is more than happy to snuggle with you or a doggy friend on the couch. To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website:
